Explore is the third stage of the Guided Inquiry Design Process

Students are now free to do comprehensive general searching in their area to get to their particular area of interest, and towards defining an area in which they will develop an inquiry question.

They are looking for relevant information. Use the usual broad searching facilities, like encyclopedias and relevant books on the whole area in which they are searching for their inquiry. They should try to avoid getting bogged down in too much information, and Google might not be the best source for this stage.
