Australian Guided Inquiry research – an update

Charles Sturt University, School of Information Studies, Teacher Librarianship team members, Dr. Kasey Garrison and Lee FitzGerald have been active in Guided Inquiry research since 2014.  They’ve collaborated with Alinda Sheerman, Head of Information Services at Broughton Anglican College to listen to students’ preferences and experiences of GID.

Here are their research papers and articles.

Findings are positive in these studies about the impact of Guided Inquiry on student learning.  The studies garnered the student voice on use and transfer of the GID process, and the impact of collaboration on the success of Guided Inquiry.

This book was published in January of 2019:

  • FitzGerald., L (2019) Guided Inquiry Goes Global: Evidence-based practice in action.  Santa Barbara, CA: ABC Clio
